Communications Group A resource available to all committees and task groups to assist with communication of their activities within the Synod. The group meets approximately bi-monthly. To advise and help churches with newsletters, notice boards & posters. To encourage writers and broadcasters within the Synod. To have oversight of the Synod’s Directory (an annual production) and the Handbook (updated as needed)

Communications Officer: Gerry Simons

The Communications Officer is responsible for the production of “Lookout” the bi-monthly newsletter for the Synod giving news of forthcoming events and reflecting aspects of the life in individual churches to the whole Synod.

The Communications Officer also advises and researches appropriate technology for the needs of the Synod. Acts as Press Officer for Synod and liaises with communication officers from other denominations within the Synod area.

The Mersey Synod website is also the responsibility of the Communications Officer.
